Lecture by ZJJF Scholar Akram Pedramnia: "'Not to Change Even a Single Word': Disseminating the Persian Translation of Ulysses Under a System of Censorship"

It is the Zurich James Joyce Foundation's pleasure to invite all those interested to a lecture by the current ZJJF Scholar Akram Pedramnia.

The lecture is entitled "'Not to Change Even a Single Word': Disseminating the Persian Translation of Ulysses Under a System of Censorship."

Akram Pedramnia is an Iranian-Canadian writer and translator. Apart from contemporary novels, she has translated several modernist classics, such as Scott Fitzgerald’s Tender is the Night or Nabokov’s Lolita, and currently she is working on Ulysses. Akram is also the author of four novels in Persian and a forthcoming novel in English.
