We are delighted to welcome Amanda Dahlstrand, Professor in Applied Microeconomics, as a new faculty member to our Department as of 1 July. Amanda is also affiliated with the University Research Priority Program (URPP) «Equality of Opportunity».

Amanda received her PhD in Economics from the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She has previously hold a position as a postdoc at Microsoft Research New England (Cambridge, MA). In 2021, she was awarded the Best Job Market Paper from the European Economic Association (EEA) and UniCredit.
Her current research is focused on using big firm and administrative datasets to study the economic effects of new technology on work, inequality, and healthcare, often with a spatial lens.
