The ongoing destruction of our natural environment is threatening our survival. This is particularly true for climate change, which is widely recognized as one of the greatest risks to humanity. Much of this damage can be attributed to human and economic activities. Our actions urgently need to be made more sustainable. We need to respond to this risk through climate change mitigation and adaptation. This requires fundamental changes to our economy, such as reducing fossil fuel consumption and preparing for extreme weather conditions. The broader goal is to achieve a sustainable economy that allows us to satisfy the needs of the current generation without jeopardizing the ability of future ones to meet theirs.
With the continuing destruction of our environment, i.e. climate change, we are threatening our own livelihood. Much of this damage can be attributed to human and economic activities. To reduce risks, our actions urgently need to be made more sustainable.
